Madhura Agashe

My research endeavours broadly encompass understanding the evolution and ecology of Indian skinks along with trying to understand the biogeographic factors that may have influenced their current distributions. In this aspect, am currently focusing on two genera of endemic, limbless skinks in India namely Sepsophis and Barkudia; I am also interested in looking at the macroevolutionary processes involved in the diversification of Hemidactylus geckos in India for which I am using a meta-analysis approach.
